About Hayley Zarb.
Hayley’s style is friendly, warm and empathic whilst still being more active in approach. She is not averse to using humour, and metaphors in her work to help build different perspectives of presenting issues. She is flexible in her approach and tries to work in a way that suits her clients needs and personality. It is important for Hayley to really understand her clients and where they have come from, so she likes to take her time to really get to know their personal stories and backgrounds. This helps her to build a individualised understanding of her clients- not only what might be keeping clients' problems going but also what their strengths are. She will share her hypotheses about what is she thinks might be going on, get feedback and adapt this understanding so that she and her clients can be on the same page- working together on clients' goals.
Hayley has extensive experience working with varied client concerns including; depression, anxiety, social anxiety, personality vulnerabilities, and relational difficulties. She has an interest in working with people who are feeling particularly stuck in life, perhaps even describing themselves as stuck in a “vicious cycle”. Hayley also enjoys working with young adults, early parenthood and working with those from the LGBTIQA community.
Hayley will use an individualised approach to tailor the therapy to your needs. Therapies used include:
