General approach: Hayley’s style is warm and empathic, whilst still being more active in approach. She is not averse to using humour, metaphors and stories in her work to help build different perspectives of presenting issues. She is client focused, meaning that she attempts to work in a way that suits her clients needs and personality. She also tends to be goal focused, working on a joint understanding of issues with her clients (often in a pictorial format) so that clients’ can take home a representation of current difficulties which they can continue to work on in their own time. An individual’s therapy goals thus become a project for the client and Hayley to work through together as a team.
